41-year-old Lee Jiaying is 5 months pregnant, hospitalized for severe bleeding twice in the early stages to ensure fetal safety.

Taiwanese actress Li Jiaying, 41, who married her non-celebrity boyfriend after dating for 8 months last year, has confirmed her pregnancy of 5 months by sharing an ultrasound photo on social media. She also revealed that she experienced two significant bleeding incidents during the early stages of her pregnancy, which led to her being bedridden in the hospital for over two months while she thanked the little life in her womb for being brave with her.

Reflecting on the arduous journey of undergoing egg retrieval procedures nine times, Li Jiaying expressed that the most challenging part was not the injections or medications, but the realization that her body did not meet her expectations. Despite the varying outcomes of each treatment cycle, she never gave up until the second successful embryo transfer surgery in February this year that finally resulted in conception.

During the process, which involved prolonged rounds of injections, weight gain from medications, and temporary sacrifices of her career interests, Li Jiaying shared that her physical well-being remained stable while admitting to breaking down in tears only once and occasionally needing to adjust her emotions. She expressed gratitude towards the medical staff, nurses, and her family for their care and exclaimed joyfully, “I am a happy older mom!”

In a video uploaded on her YouTube channel today, Li Jiaying shared her pregnancy journey, often tearing up with excitement while expressing her feelings (link to the video). She also specifically mentioned her gratitude towards her mother and husband for their excellent care and support during the period when she needed absolute bed rest for a successful pregnancy. She even mentioned telling her mother that she felt she had married the right person, especially during the profound experiences of pregnancy.

Looking ahead, she hopes for the safe and healthy development of her baby in her womb and eagerly anticipates meeting the little one by the end of the year.
