4-Year-Old Boy Falls from 16th Floor in France, Miraculously Survives with Only Minor Injuries

In a miraculous incident in the city of Aubervilliers, located in central-northern France, a 4-year-old boy fell from the balcony of a 16th-floor apartment and landed on the roof of a pharmacy below. Despite the significant fall, the boy only suffered minor injuries and miraculously survived without any serious fractures. For his parents and doctors, this event was nothing short of a miracle, leading his mother to even begin to have faith in a higher power.

This incident took place on May 26 in a local apartment building where the boy, named Enzo, who has autism, was initially inside his room. Upon hearing his cries, his father, Ji, attempted to enter his room to comfort him as usual. However, to their surprise, they found the room locked, a situation that had never happened before, leading Ji and his wife, Helene, to suspect that Enzo may have accidentally locked himself in, causing panic.

Upon breaking into the room, Ji discovered that Enzo was not there, and the window was open. He rushed to the balcony and found Enzo lying motionless on the roof of the pharmacy covered in soil.

Ji then rushed out of the apartment building and climbed onto the pharmacy roof where he was surprised to find Enzo had managed to move. Falling from a height of 43 meters, Enzo only had minor scratches on his legs.

According to Ji, speaking to Le Parisien, “Enzo was able to move, and he was conscious. I did not see any external signs of injury, just a few scratches on his legs.”

Concerned about internal injuries, Ji and Helene called for an ambulance, which took Enzo to the hospital for examination. Over a period of 7 days under observation, doctors conducted a series of tests to ensure that he was indeed as healthy as he seemed.

Doctors reported that aside from minor bleeding in the kidneys and lungs, which they quickly addressed, Enzo had no other issues. This was truly an unprecedented occurrence.

Following his discharge from the hospital, Enzo resumed his normal life, including attending kindergarten as if nothing had happened, leaving his parents and doctors in awe.

Helene expressed, “He has returned to his normal life, everything is fine. I was not a believer before, but now I am.”

As for how Enzo managed to escape severe injuries in this incident, some speculate that the soil on the pharmacy roof may have provided some cushioning during the fall. However, doctors believe that his light weight and flexible body may have played a significant role.

Dr. Véronique Bourg told Le Parisien, “Children have better elasticity in their bones and joints.”
