3 people caught on fire in a resort in Zhejiang

A terrifying accident occurred at a resort in Zhejiang during a Christmas lighting ceremony. It is suspected that someone poured alcohol into the fire, causing three people to catch fire and be rushed to the hospital.

Mainland netizen “Miss Fei” shared a video, stating that her friend was recently injured in a fire at the Naked Heart Castle Resort in Moganshan, Zhejiang, during a Christmas lighting ceremony, and demanded that the resort take responsibility for the incident.

From the video, it can be seen that there were around 30-40 visitors gathering outdoors near a fire for the Christmas lighting ceremony at Naked Heart Castle.

At the time of the incident, a foreigner was giving a speech. It is suspected that someone poured alcohol into the fire, causing a sudden flare-up that engulfed three visitors, setting them on fire.

The three visitors who caught fire immediately tried to escape, with one person’s hair also catching fire. One male visitor attempted to remove his burning clothes, while other attendees assisted in extinguishing the fire on the other two individuals.

Netizens criticized the act of pouring alcohol into an open fire as endangering others, noting, “Looking at the blue flames on the ground, it was definitely alcohol being poured in.” Some also advised, “The first instinct when on fire is to roll on the ground.”

According to a report by the Lychee News on December 8, the resort’s general manager responded that three people were injured in the accident and are currently hospitalized. The local police station has launched an investigation, and the specific cause is still under review.
