Furthermore, at 9:40 a.m., the Central Weather Bureau announced a magnitude 4.1 earthquake with a depth of 4.2 kilometers. The epicenter was situated 14.7 kilometers south of the Hualien County Government (offshore from Hualien County), with the maximum seismic intensity reaching level 3 in Hualien County.
