23-year-old woman sexually assaulted in Soho district, police offer $3500 reward to catch the suspect.

Early Sunday morning, a man followed a 23-year-old woman living in the SoHo district of Manhattan into her residential building and sexually assaulted her. On Monday, the police released related photos and videos, offering a reward of up to $3,500 for the apprehension of the perpetrator, urging anyone with information to report to the New York City Police Department.

According to information provided by the New York City Police Department’s DCPI, the incident occurred in a residence near Thompson Street and Prince Street in the SoHo district of Manhattan. At 4:10 am on the 21st, a man followed the young woman into the residential building and proceeded to assault her, violently grabbing her by the throat. The man then fled south on Thompson Street. After the victim reported the incident, she was taken to the hospital for medical evaluation. The police indicated that the victim did not know the perpetrator of the assault.

The suspect is described by the police as a dark-skinned, slender male who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a red heart-shaped design on it at the time of the incident. He was also wearing gray striped pants and orange athletic shoes.
