Recently, in Pulandian District, Dalian City, Liaoning Province, a collision occurred between an ambulance and a small sedan, resulting in the deaths of both the medical staff and the patient on the ambulance, with the ambulance driver sustaining injuries. The moment of the accident was recorded on video, revealing the grim scene at the scene of the incident.

On May 19th, a viral video showed an ambulance running a red light at an intersection in Dalian, proceeding straight ahead, only to be overturned by a sedan traveling horizontally. The ambulance was left in a state resembling total wreckage, with multiple individuals thrown out of the vehicle, some collapsing to the ground motionless. Even the stretcher inside the ambulance was flung out due to the impact.

On the 20th, the Pulandian Sub-Bureau of Dalian Public Security Bureau announced that at around 12:42 pm on the 18th, an ambulance from Dalian, Pulandian District collided with a small sedan at the intersection of a gas station on Fengrong Street in Pulandian District. As a result, one medical staff member on the ambulance died on the spot, one patient succumbed after unsuccessful rescue efforts, and the ambulance driver was injured.

According to a report by the Beijing Youth Daily, the Pulandian District Traffic Police Brigade in Dalian stated that at the time of the accident, there was a patient in the ambulance, which was allegedly running a red light while sounding its siren.

Online commentators remarked, “With the loud siren of the ambulance, many drivers choose to turn a deaf ear.” “The private car was crossing the intersection too fast. Upon hearing the siren, one should slow down. Otherwise, how will ambulances dare to rush to rescue the injured in the future?” “Was the ambulance really running a red light? Shouldn’t the staff on board be wearing seat belts? Were they not buckled up?” “The sedan is fully responsible. Where did they get their driver’s license from?”
