19-year-old male student at a high school in Shandong stabbed to death by roommate in bloody incident

Recently, a 19-year-old sophomore named Yuan was fatally stabbed with a sharp tool by his roommate in the dormitory of Shandong Yantai Automotive Engineering Vocational College.

According to a report released by Yantai Automotive Engineering Vocational College on September 6th, a conflict between two students at the school due to personal disputes on August 31st resulted in the death of one student.

The suspect in the crime has been criminally detained, and the case is currently under trial.

A “Forensic Identification Notice” issued by the Yantai police on September 4th revealed that the cause of death of the deceased Yuan was a stab wound to the chest with a sharp tool causing lung rupture and fatal blood loss.

Quoting a source close to Yuan’s family, The Paper reported on the 5th that at 19:29 on August 31st, Yuan’s family suddenly received a call from the class teacher informing them of the accident involving their child and that the rescue efforts were unsuccessful, requesting the family to come to the school as soon as possible.

The source mentioned that the deceased Yuan, 19 years old, was studying in the electronic commerce major at Yantai Automotive Engineering Vocational College, and the suspect is Yuan’s classmate, who has been taken into custody by the police. On the 3rd, the family and the school authorities had their first negotiation on compensation issues, but it ended without any agreement.

According to the official website of Yantai Automotive Engineering Vocational College, the school was established in 2006 and is sponsored by the Yantai government. It is a renowned school in Shandong Province for cultivating skilled talents. Currently, the school has over 800 faculty members and 22,000 students enrolled.
