Supermodel Cindy Crawford’s son, Presley Gerber, tragically passed away on Sunday, September 20, at the young age of 27.
According to information from the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office, Presley passed away at a rehabilitation facility on that day at 9:45 a.m. The family has confirmed the news and has requested privacy during this difficult time.
Presley is the eldest son of Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, and their only son. His sister is the model and actress Kaia Gerber.
At the age of 15, Presley signed with the IMG modeling agency and walked the runway for various designer brands. He made his runway debut at the Moschino fashion show in Los Angeles in 2016.
His fashion portfolio includes advertising campaigns and runway shows for brands like Calvin Klein (CK) and Dolce & Gabbana. He appeared in promotional films for Calvin Klein and Celine’s perfume ads, and graced the runways of Dolce & Gabbana and Tommy Hilfiger.
In 2018, he starred alongside his mother in a Pepsi commercial during Super Bowl LII.
According to a report from people.com, the Los Angeles County Coroner has conducted an autopsy on Presley; however, the cause and manner of death are still pending further examination, which may take several months for conclusive results.
In recent years, Presley had openly discussed his struggles with mental health issues and shared his experiences on social media and in interviews.
His sister, Kaia, spoke about her brother’s mental health and substance abuse issues in an August 2026 cover story for Vogue magazine. The article described Presley’s battle with drug addiction over a period of ten years.
At age 24, Kaia told the media, “When something like this happens in the family, it impacts everyone greatly. That’s why I started to label myself as the ‘easy child’ and never wanted to seek help because there were already two children in the family who needed special attention, and I felt I couldn’t add to the burden.”
