Explosion in early hours in Xing’an, Guangxi, leaves at least 7 dead and 17 injured.

In the early morning of June 11, a serious explosion occurred in Xing’an Town, Xing’an County, Guilin City, Guangxi Province, resulting in at least 7 deaths and 17 injuries.

The Xing’an County Public Security Bureau reported that around 1:40 am on June 11, an explosion occurred on Lingxiang Road in Xing’an Town. The explosion was determined not to be caused by factors such as gas pipelines, and investigations into the cause of the incident are ongoing.

Currently, the explosion has resulted in 7 deaths, with 17 injured individuals being sent to hospitals, along with others sustaining minor injuries.

Residents told the media that they heard two explosions and sirens of ambulances when the explosion happened, causing windows in their homes to shatter.

Staff at Xing’an County Hospital stated that they have opened a green medical treatment channel to admit multiple injured individuals, and those with severe injuries have been transferred to other hospitals.
