Zhang Jiadun Warns: CCP Launches “Comprehensive” Unrestricted Warfare against the U.S.

On May 20, 2026, United States’ renowned China expert Gordon Chang warned on Monday, May 18, that America’s biggest adversary, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), is resorting to extreme measures such as fentanyl, espionage, and infiltration activities to carry out a comprehensive unrestricted warfare against the United States.

Chang made the remarks during a popular podcast and broadcast program called “Will Cain Country,” hosted by Fox News host and conservative commentator Will Cain. He stated that the CCP has redefined the concept of “warfare” by not necessarily involving traditional weapons like guns and cannons, but instead utilizing tactics like fentanyl drugs, espionage, sabotage operations, and social infiltration to undermine the United States from within.

According to Chang, the CCP’s official mouthpiece, the People’s Daily, declared in a May 2019 editorial the launch of a “People’s War” against the United States. While Americans may perceive it as mere propaganda, within the CCP, “People’s War” holds profound implications, indicating the initiation of a “total war.”

Chang highlighted that the surge in fentanyl-related deaths in the U.S. is not due to accidental overdoses but a deliberate act of killing by the CCP. Their objective is to eliminate as many Americans as possible by any means necessary.

“I know it’s hard for Americans to understand this, but just look at how vigorously the CCP supports fentanyl smuggling gangs, and it becomes clear,” Chang said.

Additionally, Chang pointed out that the CCP has established biological weapon facilities on U.S. soil, set up secret police stations, flown drones over military facilities carrying bombs, and smuggled genetically modified pathogens.

“Chinese Communists are instigating protest activities, inciting violence, and openly promoting violence – just as they did in 2020. They are also counterfeiting money and smuggling automatic weapon parts into the U.S. An abundance of such examples exists,” Chang explained.

Chang concluded by emphasizing that when one connects all these dots with the CCP’s propaganda, it becomes evident that this is indeed a war without a doubt. This war differs significantly from traditional notions of warfare familiar to Americans, as it no longer involves tanks, planes, and missiles seen in movies. The CCP has elevated warfare to a new level, redefining the very essence of war.
