China Airlines Offers Limited Time Special Discounts on North America Direct Flights to Asia for Less than One Thousand Dollars

Due to the surge in international oil prices caused by the conflict in the Middle East, major airlines around the world have begun to raise their ticket prices, announcing increases in fuel surcharges. Starting from May, the fuel surcharges have doubled, and airlines are also reducing the operation scale of low-profit routes.

In order to welcome the peak summer travel season, China Airlines has launched a limited-time “Early Summer Promotion” with special discounted prices on selected Asia-bound flights departing from various cities in North America.

Zhang Qiu-Hua, the marketing manager of China Airlines for North America, introduced that this early summer promotion is valid from May 1 to 14, with departure dates between July 2 and December 10. The routes cover departures from Los Angeles, Ontario, San Francisco, New York, Seattle, Phoenix, and Vancouver, or connecting flights through the aforementioned airports from U.S. inland cities, heading to selected destinations specified on the China Airlines official website.

Among the deals, round trips from Seattle to Taipei (SEA-TPE) start from $888, San Francisco to Taipei (SFO-TPE) start from $990, Phoenix to Manila (PHX-MNL) start from $1,011, Los Angeles to Manila (LAX-MNL) start from $1,020, and New York to Ho Chi Minh City (JFK-SGN) start from $1,139. Actual prices are subject to relevant terms and conditions, and more information on promotional routes and prices can be found on the China Airlines official website.

As the North American air travel market continues to heat up in 2026, China Airlines is optimizing its flight network layout and schedule configuration to flexibly meet the diverse needs of passengers. In terms of long-haul routes, starting from August 5, the New York (JFK) to Taipei (TPE) route will increase to five flights per week, with plans to gradually increase to one flight per day, providing more convenient and flexible flight options between Taiwan and the United States.

Zhang Qiu-Hua stated that this promotion is equivalent to a 10% discount, with the lowest round trip economy class fare from Los Angeles to Taipei starting at $950. Furthermore, unlike previous promotions limited to departure times after August, this promotion starts from July, encouraging travelers planning summer vacations to seize the opportunity and make their purchases promptly.

In addition to optimizing flight schedules and prices, China Airlines continues to enhance the overall in-flight experience by collaborating with multiple star-rated brands to introduce new dishes on board. In the new season, T+T will introduce “Boston Lobster Braised Wagyu Cheeks with Yellow Curry Sauce” in the luxury business class, “Jindong Slow-cooked Wagyu Cheeks with Chicken Fat Rice” in the premium economy class, and “Jindong Braised Chicken Rice” in the economy class, focusing on Nanyang spice flavors to create a rich dining experience.

Moreover, China Airlines continues to collaborate with renowned restaurants such as Yipin Palace, Mi Xiang, Deng Deng An, and Yangming Spring, where the chef teams have meticulously designed new dishes, allowing passengers to savor exquisite and layered delicacies at 30,000 feet, adding a touch of culinary surprise to their journey. ◇
