Trump announces extension of ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon by three weeks.

President Trump announced on Thursday at the White House that the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon will be extended by three weeks. He emphasized that the United States will cooperate with Lebanon to resist the threats from Hezbollah.

President Trump took to his social media platform, “Truth Social,” on Thursday to post that he, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, and US Ambassador to Lebanon Michel Issa met with senior representatives from Israel and Lebanon in the Oval Office.

“The meeting went very well!” the President said. “The United States will work with Lebanon to help them resist Hezbollah.”

“The ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon will be extended by three weeks,” Trump said. “I look forward to hosting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun in the near future. I am deeply honored to be able to participate in this historic meeting!”
