1 person dead as stunt off-road vehicle crashes into audience at Shanxi special skills arena.

Recently, in a car stunt training ground in Puxian County, Linfen, Shanxi Province, an accident occurred where a car collided with a person while performing stunts, resulting in the death of that individual.

The incident took place at a stunt training ground called “Jubao Pen,” which is often frequented by off-road vehicle enthusiasts who come to showcase their skills. They refer to this activity as “stunt pot”.

A viral video shows a black car drifting in the arena, speeding too fast, crashing towards the edge of the site, hitting a man in white standing by the pit, who fell motionless to the ground.

According to reports from mainland media such as Da Ji Yuan on April 28th, the car stunt arena is located near Puxian Railway Station in Shanxi Province. Local medical staff mentioned that an ambulance was dispatched when the incident occurred, but it was cancelled by the other party halfway.

Local netizens revealed on social media that the victim had passed away. The deceased was the brother of the person in charge of this event, who was adding water to the pit at the time, unexpectedly getting hit and killed.

Officials from the Emergency Management Bureau of Puxian County confirmed that the accident occurred on the 24th.

Following the accident, the car stunt arena involved has been shut down.

The video has sparked discussions online. Many netizens commented, “Recently, the off-road community nationwide has been engaging in these activities, but looking at the setup on-site, the safety measures are extremely poor, it’s inevitable that accidents happen with even a slight loss of control, and there’s no regulatory body overseeing this.” “Several times I almost crashed, it’s obvious that accidents were bound to occur sooner or later.” “Who approved this activity?” “Why act only after tragedies occur every time, instead of investigating, gathering evidence, and establishing accountability earlier? It’s a societal tragedy!”

Let’s hope that measures will be taken to prevent such tragedies from happening again in the future.
