A recent accident occurred in the Huoshan Grand Canyon Drifting Scenic Area in Anhui, where two buses collided, resulting in at least 1 death and 3 injuries.
On July 27, a netizen posted that an accident had taken place in the Huoshan County Grand Canyon Drifting Scenic Area in Anhui, with the buses used to transport tourists up and down the mountain colliding, leading to some tourists being stranded at the visitor center and unable to go drifting on the river. As a result, the drifting activities for that day were suspended. With no officials present to explain the situation, the tourists became agitated.
Photos circulating online showed one of the buses severely damaged, with a large number of tourists gathered at the scene.
Around 6 p.m., staff from the Luorling Town government, where the Huoshan Grand Canyon Drifting Scenic Area is located, informed reporters from “Extreme News” that two buses had collided inside the scenic area. Following the incident, the injured were taken to the hospital, and the exact number of casualties is still being tallied. One of the buses had a capacity of 50 passengers, but it was not fully occupied at the time of the accident.
Later that night, the Anhui Huoshan County police reported that at 13:05 on the 27th, a head-on collision involving two buses occurred at 662KM+400M on G346 National Road in Huoshan County, resulting in one fatality despite rescue efforts being unsuccessful. Some passengers were sent to the hospital for observation and treatment, with three individuals sustaining injuries but not in life-threatening condition.
