黃耀明曝光62歲生日計畫:在台灣體驗午夜開唱 Andy Hui reveals 62nd birthday plan: Experience midnight sing-along in Taiwan

Taiwan’s first “My Nightlife Festival,” which features overnight performances as its main attraction, received high praise when it was first held in 2022. This year, it returned with the added element of “Woo Love.” Recently, the festival announced its second wave lineup, which includes the addition of Taiwanese band “Ice Hockey Band” and Hong Kong singer-songwriter Anthony Wong.

Anthony Wong, who rarely participates in outdoor music events in Taiwan, is very excited about the overnight performance this time. He said with a smile, “The idea of singing at midnight is really great!” Being a night owl himself, performing overnight is no issue for him. He can even imagine that he will be in a particularly good state that night. However, he is currently torn between singing some upbeat party songs or quieter tunes that can lull people to sleep, hoping that his Taiwanese fans can leave comments to give him guidance.

Coincidentally, the performance date of the “My Night Woo Love Festival” happens to fall on Anthony Wong’s 62nd birthday. Perhaps singing through the night until sunrise with his fans will be the best birthday gift for him.

Additionally, Thai band Cocktail, performing in Taiwan for the first time, expressed great anticipation for their first performance in Taiwan. Although they recently announced their disbandment scheduled for 2025, this Taiwan performance is likely to be their first and last encounter with Taiwanese music fans. Nevertheless, they are determined to deliver a fantastic show to Taiwan.

Standing Egg, an indie band that has won the Korean Indie Music Awards multiple times, has held solo concerts in Taiwan twice before. However, they expressed excitement for the themed music festival event like My Night, stating that “Not only in Taiwan, but even in Korea, they have never participated in such an interesting music festival,” making them especially enthusiastic about this performance.

And a子, a rising female singer based in Tokyo, will participate in a live performance in Taiwan for the first time. She is renowned for her mysterious whispered vocals, paired with a gentle and dreamy music style.

This year’s “My Night Woo Love Festival” includes six main areas: “Moon Stage,” “Sea Stage,” “Star House,” “Ocean Movie Theater,” “Fun Market,” and “Dreamland.” The “Ocean Movie Theater” in particular intrigued Anthony Wong and Japanese singer a子, especially when Wong found out that the lineup includes classic horror movies, making him laugh and say, “Watching horror movies with the sound of dark waves as background is really an immersive experience!”
