“【Mark Time】The US wants to buy Ukraine’s battlefield-tested drones”

Ukrainian President Zelensky recently stated that he and U.S. President Trump are discussing a “super deal” involving drones. The United States is interested in purchasing battlefield-tested Ukrainian drones, in exchange for Ukraine buying a large quantity of weapons from the U.S. However, the U.S. military already possesses a variety of long-range strike weapons and high-altitude large drones, so what they may be looking to acquire are shorter-range cruise missiles, FPV drones, and lightweight interceptor drones used for countering drones. While the U.S. has previously provided Ukraine with a significant amount of Spring Knife and Phoenix Ghost series small attack drones, the feedback on their performance has not been positive. Compared to the pricey high-tech drones produced by American companies, Ukrainian products are more cost-effective, having undergone combat tests, and are considered reliable weapons that can be rapidly and extensively equipped.

Furthermore, on July 11th, an Antonov An-124 transport aircraft belonging to Ukraine’s Antonov Airlines successfully took off from an airport near Kyiv, violated the restricted airspace, flew over Kyiv, and eventually landed in Leipzig, Germany. This meticulously planned “evacuation flight” served as a significant encouragement for Ukrainians and left Russian military channels astonished, questioning why the Russian aerospace forces had failed to detect and destroy this massive aircraft over the course of more than three years.
